Just finished reading " Life of Pi" , its novel about a 16 year old boy 227 days cast away in pacific ocean with a bengal tiger. Below are some of the quotes I liked from the book.
When your own life is threatened, your sense of empathy is blunted by a terrible, selfish hunger for survival
It's important in life to conclude things properly. Only then you can let go. Otherwise you are left with words you should have said but never did, and your heart is heavy with remorse
Love is hard to believe, ask any lover. Life is hard to believe, ask any scientist. God is hard to believe, ask any believer
Faith in God is an opening up, a letting go, a deep trust, a free act of love- but sometimes it was so hard to love

one more...
* Life is so beautiful that death has fallen in love with it…
* Life will defend itself no matter how small it is.
I like these two quotes very much from the Life of Pi!
Btw, Pi's brother is Ravi, so nice and naughty :)
and btw...the one you quoted..

is very very very very true...:))
...And may I suggest one lil thing, Sri?
Try to summarize in 5-10 lines about the book.
I know itz very hard, but it hones your synopsis skills and captivates the mind of the reader, from the mind of you! :)
Btw, from the same Yann Martel, try reading another book - "Self"!
Very mystifying,
Pain & Bliss of Love...and
Controversially, Fluidity of Gender :)
After firts 20 pages or so, you will be pulled to the edge of your chair, very intriguing!
Beautiful words for a lovely book... !! :)
